Storekeeper
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Storekeeper to manage our stock levels, ensure proper storage, and maintain high standards of hygiene. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent level of competence
- Minimum of 2-5 years working experience in a similar role
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong client and customer service skills
- Computer literate
- Good Food and Beverage Knowledge
- Proven costing & stock control/store keeping experience – advantageous
Responsibilities
- Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
- Prepare and control the store's budget
- Manage and monitor stock levels
- Ensure compliance with legal health and safety regulations
- Administer the ordering of all food, resale, and beverage items
- Receive all stock from suppliers according to policies and procedures
- Issue stock from various storage areas according to specifications
- Ensure accurate costing of stock, meals, and functions
- Conduct weekly stock takes
- Maintain high standards of hygiene
- Plan for stock availability and report shortages
- Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of storerooms
- Manage wastage and leftovers
- Build and maintain supplier and client relationships
- Report on product quality
- Provide relief support in local units as needed
