Treasury Manager
Overview
The Treasury Manager assists and supports the Group Treasurer with funding requests locally and internationally, cash management, treasury projects and all other tasks in the treasury department.
Requirements
- CA(SA) or equivalent treasury qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in treasury
- Understanding of bank administrative processes
- Understanding of receivables, payables, cash flows and liquidity
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow and monitor liquidity requirements
- Prepare and oversee the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast
- First reviewer of daily cash position and monthly treasury reports
- Forecast borrowing requirements and support funding and investment decisions
- Manage funding commitments, loan reporting and scheduled payments
- Review and approve local and foreign payments
- Manage intercompany and interbank transfers
- Ensure compliance with exchange control and banking regulations
- Develop and maintain banking relationships
- Resolve banking queries
- Monitor banking fees and identify cost optimisation opportunities
- Identify treasury and financial risks and implement controls
- Drive continuous improvement in treasury processes and systems
- Support treasury management system implementation and enhancements
- Assist with international and local loan requests
- Provide support for daily cash management processes
- Maintain divisional contact lists and assist with cash flows
- Prepare schedules for ALCO pack and manage bank account listings
- Assist with administrative requests and maintain the group guarantee register
- Support Treasury Analysts and the Treasurer with projects
