Warehouse General Assistant
Overview
Assist Receiving Inspectors with the processing of outstanding DNU (Do Not Use) stock; Segregate stock as directed; Assist with the physical verification of stock quantities; Prepare and match Certificates of Conformance (C of C); Identify and separate parts without a C of C; Ensure careful handling of parts; Assist the Dispatch team with organization and clean-up; Support general housekeeping activities; Assist the Inventory team with stock movement; Pack and place stock in appropriate racks; Assist with sorting and organization of stock; Report stock discrepancies; Follow warehouse, safety and stock-handling procedures; Use warehouse equipment responsibly; Maintain good housekeeping standards; Perform other reasonable warehouse-related duties.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics or stock-handling environment (Advantageous)
- Physically fit and able to lift and handle items weighing between 20—25 kg (Essential)
- Willing and able to work on weekends where required
- Must have reliable transport
