Overview
Rand Water is seeking a Workshop Assistant Meters to conduct flow and pressure data logging, in-situ testing, and the installation of upgraded meters for its consumers. The role involves working on various project tasks for both internal and external parties and requires technical expertise in meter verification and maintenance.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3
- Driver's license
- 2 years' experience in a similar environment
Responsibilities
- Conduct planned maintenance on all flow meters
- Install and remove Ultrasonic clamp-on equipment on site for in-situ verification
- Install and remove data logging equipment
- Conduct meter verification at various sites across the Rand Water area of supply
- Perform administrative work and report health and safety-related plant defects
