Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice - Level Year 1 at Motus Bloemfontein. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and gain valuable hands-on experience in the automotive industry while assisting with the repair of vehicles under the supervision of a qualified Technician.

Requirements

  • Matric certificate with mathematics and Physical science
  • Accredited college N3 certificate
  • Valid, unendorsed driver’s license
  • Must have a clear criminal record
  • Interest in the automotive industry
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Physically fit for heavy work; able to physically complete the duties associated with the role
  • Enjoy working with your hands
  • Able to work in noisy environments
  • Have good eyesight and hand-eye coordination
  • Possess very strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with various tasks such as diagnosing and repairing vehicles
  • Learn to use diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Attend scheduled technical/level training courses
  • Prepare thoroughly for level tests in order to qualify within the record time
  • Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time
