Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Overview
Perform all Supply chain functions. Ensure proper filling of documentation pertaining to receiving, issuing, and recording of transaction on the Supply Chain Systems (LOGIS) and filing of source documents.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s)of the post
- Experience: Appropriate experience in procurement, asset management, warehousing and on Procurement (Electronic Procurement System)
- Inherent requirements of the job: Valid B/EB driver’s licence
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and or practical experience of the LOGIS System, Warehousing and Procurement management functions and functional experience in obtaining quotations on an electronic purchasing system (IPS)
- Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word)
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Responsibilities
- Perform all Supply chain functions
- Ensure proper filling of documentation pertaining to receiving, issuing, and recording of transaction on the Supply Chain Systems (LOGIS) and filing of source documents
- Responsible to conduct regular stock count and prevent shortages and surpluses within area of responsibility
- Responsible to prevent theft, damages and report any discrepancies to supervisor and senior management
- Responsible to maintain minimum and maximum stock level to avoid stock shortages/ out - outs
- Follow up on outstanding deliveries (orders) with the supplier
- Ensure compliance to all relevant laws and prescripts related to Supply Chain Management
- Responsible to partake during institutional assets counts as determined by management
