Overview

Approval of electronic records management systems. Development and maintenance of electronic records management systems.

Requirements

  • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B -Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Information Management Systems or related qualification
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence
  • NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but w ho have reasonable access to transport, may also apply
  • Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Legislation, policies and procedures of the Western Cape Archives and Records Service
  • Public Management practices in SA and in other countries
  • Financial Management and Supply Chain Management Services
  • Public Service reporting structures
  • Strategic planning
  • Meeting procedures
  • It will be advantageous to have a Post Graduate Qualification in Archival Studies
  • Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal)
  • Proven computer literacy
  • Research
  • Problem solving
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Approval of electronic records management systems
  • Development and maintenance of electronic records management systems
  • Audits of electronic records management systems
  • Guides and directives: compilation, update and distribution
  • Communication and facili tation
