Requirements
- Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Post-basic nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year (Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care accredited with the SANC) or a 4-year Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of patient health.
- Plan and implement treatment strategies.
- Manage and evaluate patient care in the primary health context.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and practices.
