Overview
The Household Aid will deliver effective cleaning services including dusting, washing, scrubbing, polishing, and refuse removal in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include adhering to safety measures and occupational health policies, while assisting the supervisor with general housekeeping duties such as control of cleaning equipment, linen care, and serving meals to patients. Requirements
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience in a household/cleaning environment in a health facility
- Willingness to work weekends, shifts, overtime, public holidays, and night duty
- Ability to perform physical tasks and operate heavy-duty cleaning and household equipment
- Willingness to assist in other wards as needed
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment
- Understanding of stock, assets, linen, and equipment control
