Overview
The Pharmacist Grade 1 to 3 (Production) role at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital involves ensuring the safe and effective production of pharmaceutical products. Requirements
- Basic qualification accredited with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) allowing registration as a pharmacist.
- Registration with the SAPC as a pharmacist.
- Grade 1: None after registration as a pharmacist for SA qualified employees; 1-year experience for foreign qualified employees.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience after registration as a pharmacist for SA qualified employees; 6 years for foreign qualified employees.
- Grade 3: Minimum of 13 years’ experience after registration as a pharmacist for SA qualified employees; 14 years for foreign qualified employees.
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
- Willingness to perform regular after-hours duties, standby, and call-out duties.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and effective production of pharmaceutical products.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy staff in production processes.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
