Overview
Participate in the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical practice/quality patient care. Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators for quality nursing (quality of practice).
Requirements
- Grade 1: Matric Certificate or Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science and Midwifery that allows registration with SANC as a General Nurse
- Current SANC (2026) receipt

Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical practice/quality patient care
- Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators for quality nursing (quality of practice)
- Practice nursing and health care in accordance with laws and r egulations relevant to nursing and health care
- Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders
- Utilise human, material and physical resources efficiently and effectively
- Provide comprehensive, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care including deliveries and management of obstetric emergencies
- Perform physical assessments, diagnose and treat common health problems in line with scope of practice and PHC guidelines
- Manage Maternal, Child and Women’s Health programmes, EPI, Family Planning
- Provide HIV, TB, STI and NCD management and ensure adherence to 95/95/95 targets
- Maintain accurate patient records, registers and data capturing
- Ensure cost -effective use of equipment, stock and recourses
- Report losses/damages
- Super vise and mentor Staff Nurses, ENA’s and CHW’s
- Implement and monitor priority programmes as per Ideal Clinic standards
- Reduce risk of litigation by applying correct clinical protocols
- Contribute to achieving Ideal Clinic Realisation Status
- Participate in on- call system to ensure 24/7 service delivery
