Facilities Intern
Overview
Cubix is offering a 12-month paid internship that provides hands-on experience. Interns will have the opportunity to learn, grow, collaborate, and make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Facilities Management qualification – Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Management, Property Management, Construction, Engineering or Maintenance qualification – relevant alternatives
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) qualification – beneficial
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a clear ITC record
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Must NOT currently be employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance requests and general facilities-related tasks
- Assist with the movement and setup of furniture, cables, plugs and equipment
- Help maintain neat and tidy workstations and common areas
- Assist with opening and locking designated areas within the business
- Assist with creating and deactivating access cards
- Assist with monitoring UPS systems and water supply, and report any issues
- Provide general support to the Facilities team within the scope of the intern’s capabilities and qualifications
- Assist with office moves, workstation changes, events and other facilities-related activities when required
- Communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders and respond to facilities requests professionally
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes
- Maintain good timekeeping, attendance and reliability
- Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
- Perform other reasonable and miscellaneous duties as required by the Facilities team
