Overview

Cubix is offering a 12-month paid internship that provides hands-on experience in finance. Interns will gain valuable industry exposure, develop professional skills, and build a strong foundation for their future career.

Requirements

  • Must be a South African Citizen
  • Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • A 3-year Diploma/Degree in Finance related qualification from a recognized public tertiary institution
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Excel and Sage experience
  • Knowledge of VAT, IFRS, and SARS legislation
  • Understanding of audit and reconciliation processes
  • Must have a clear criminal record
  • Must have a clear ITC record
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Must NOT currently be employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme

Responsibilities

  • Support Bookkeepers with creditor functions, including supplier reconciliations, invoice verification, and VAT compliance
  • Assist with month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Support Procurement with cost approvals and documentation
  • Handle Canteen cash-ups, ensuring accurate cash reconciliation and reporting
  • Maintain and balance intercompany accounts and assist with internal and external audits
  • Contribute to month-end, year-end, and tax reconciliations (VAT, EMP, Income Tax)
  • Support revenue processes including invoicing, Debicheck, and variance analysis
  • Perform general finance administration, stock and asset counts, filing, and ad hoc finance projects
