Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Completed Relevant Diploma or Degree – Required or Preferred, such as: Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management, Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Diploma/Degree in Finance, Diploma/Degree in Payroll Administration, Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Diploma/Degree in a related field
- Basic knowledge of payroll principles and administration
- Basic understanding of South African labour and tax legislation, including the BCEA and SARS requirements
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a clear ITC record
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Must NOT currently be employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme
Responsibilities
- Handle input processing, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely salary payments for all employees
- Ensure accurate record maintenance
- Accurately manage leave records while maintaining the efficiency of the Employee Self-Service system
- Provide responsive and friendly assistance to staff queries, fostering a supportive payroll environment
- Manage queries related to medical aid, group life insurance, and health insurance
