Intern IT Helpdesk Administrator
Overview
The IT Helpdesk Administrator is responsible for providing first-line technical support and administration to end-users, ensuring the efficient resolution of IT-related incidents and service requests. The role involves managing the ServiceDesk ticketing system, asset tracking and IT storeroom management.
Requirements
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- CompTIA A+ – Required
- CompTIA Network+ (N+) – Required
- IT-related Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Support, or a related field
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a clear ITC record
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Must NOT currently be employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme
Responsibilities
- Asset Management/repairs/tagging/asset assignments
- Management of 3rd party support escalations and data sim management
- IT Service Desk Ticket Management and Allocations
- Stock capacity management co-ordination for the business
- Active Directory User account & email creations and terminations
- Update Documentation (Processes and Systems)
- Implementation of new technologies in the company
- Reporting with Finance Department (invoicing requests/queries/Delivery trackers/account allocations)
- E-Waste Disposal Management
- Daily Mimecast mail release (Archived search requests from departments as well as daily check and release)
- Managing and Maintaining IT Storeroom and stock inventory
- SMS portal credit management & allocations
