Contract Manager – Security Systems & Infrastructure
Overview
The Contract Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management, performance, and compliance of security system maintenance and installation contracts across all sites, including CCTV, alarm systems, electric fencing, and integrated security platforms.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Security Management, IT, or related field.
- 5–10 years’ experience in security systems management (CCTV, alarms, electric fencing), contract or vendor management, and mining or industrial environments (preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of Video Management Systems (Milestone, HikCentral), alarm and electrified fencing systems, and network infrastructure (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Strong understanding of OEM lifecycle support and system warranties, SAIDSA and SANS standards, and integrated security platforms (CiiMS).
- Key skills in contract and vendor management, technical troubleshooting and systems integration, project management and planning, risk assessment and compliance management, and strong reporting and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with all HSEC requirements, mine standards, and operational procedures.
- Manage supplier obligations relating to service delivery, safety, and system integrity.
- Oversee daily maintenance of all security systems.
- Ensure execution of an approved maintenance plan.
- Monitor system uptime, performance, and fault resolution.
- Ensure availability and condition of vehicles, tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Manage integration of alarm systems, CCTV systems, and electric fencing.
- Monitor LAN/WAN performance and availability.
- Approve and monitor timelines for new installations and system enhancements.
- Conduct monthly site inspections with Site Managers.
- Oversee alarm and CCTV system management.
- Establish and enforce procedures for incident handling and continuous improvement.
- Ensure availability of qualified technical teams and verify competencies.
