Overview
The Executive Training Standards and Personnel Licensing role entails providing strategic support to the Director of Civil Aviation at the SACAA by implementing Training Standards and Personnel Licensing programs. This position focuses on licensing personnel, overseeing designated functions, conducting safety promotions, and managing international operations, all aligned with SACAA’s mandate.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development of the overall Training Standards and strategy for SACAA.
- Translate SACAA vision into Safety Standards and Assurance imperatives.
- Ensure integration with other departments to support SACAA's strategic priorities.
- Compile and manage the Safety Standards & Assurance budget annually.
- Manage expenditure and revenue in compliance with legislation.
- Implement development interventions to foster a high-performance culture.
- Oversee mentoring and coaching of staff for effective Training Standards and Personnel Licensing.
- Lead regulatory reviews and submissions regarding Safety Standards and Assurance.
- Research, develop, and establish standards for aviation safety licenses & certification.
- Ensure operational oversight of Training Standards & Personnel Licensing Division.
