Financial Analyst
Overview
CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a Financial Analyst, whose responsibility will be providing strategic financial planning, investment analysis, business performance evaluation, and decision-support across the ministry and its various entities. The role will support leadership in driving financial sustainability, growth, stewardship, and operational excellence through data-driven insights, financial modelling, forecasting, and investment evaluation. The position reports to the Director for Administration.
Requirements
- Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a financial analyst, investment analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in business performance analysis and strategic financial planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Power BI, and other financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
- Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and strategic plans, providing monthly operational insights.
- Conduct business performance analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to track organizational and program performance.
- Evaluate investment opportunities through feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and financial due diligence.
- Manage and monitor investment portfolios, recommending strategies to optimize returns and mitigate risk.
- Provide strategic financial advisory to leadership on resource allocation, investment prioritization, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks while strengthening risk management frameworks.
- Leverage data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
- Evaluate policy effectiveness, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development and implementation of improved financial and operational policies.
