Overview
Exxaro Resources is seeking a Group Manager, Medical Health & Wellbeing to oversee Occupational Health and Wellbeing across the Group. This strategic leadership role involves driving integrated health frameworks, policies, and mechanisms to protect employee health, ensure fitness for work, and prevent occupational diseases. The ideal candidate will manage complex health risks in mining and industrial environments while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
- Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine & Health (Recommended/Desirable)
- Master of Business Administration (Recommended/Desirable)
- 10-12 years' experience in occupational health, mining health, industrial health, or workforce health management environments
- 8 years' experience in senior leadership or specialist leadership roles within large, complex industrial, mining, energy, manufacturing, or resource organisations
- Expertise in developing and implementing occupational health strategies, governance frameworks, standards, and policies
- Strong understanding of occupational health legislation, occupational disease management, and health risk management
- Proven experience leading organisational health improvement, assurance, and compliance programmes
- Experience managing multidisciplinary occupational health and wellbeing programmes across geographically dispersed operations
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- Health Professions Council of South Africa (Essential/Minimum)
