IT Support Specialist – Earn Up to R36 500/Month in Fully Remote Role
Overview
The role involves providing technical support to clients and internal teams of a growing US-based company. You will serve as a first point of contact for clients and team members experiencing technical problems.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an IT Support role
- Experience in a fast-paced or customer-facing IT environment is preferred
- Previous experience working remotely is an advantage
- Experience supporting international clients is beneficial
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, cloud services, remote desktop applications, IT ticketing systems, basic networking principles, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
- Fluency in English is required; Portuguese or Spanish language skills are an advantage
Responsibilities
- Providing first-level technical support to clients and internal teams through email, phone and remote desktop tools
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network-related problems
- Assisting with the setup, configuration and maintenance of company hardware, software and IT systems
- Guiding users through troubleshooting and providing assistance with software or system use
- Escalating complex technical issues to the appropriate team or department
- Recording technical problems, solutions and system configurations using a ticketing system
- Supporting the installation and deployment of software and updates
- Troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues
- Assisting with minor server maintenance
- Tracking and documenting recurring technical issues
- Analysing recurring problems and helping identify ways to improve IT system efficiency
