Junior Technical Manager
Overview
Responsible for planning, organising, and directing the activities of the assigned buildings or client premises in the portfolio. Oversees service delivery to client, procures services, handles third party service contracts, and directs maintenance procedures. Ensures that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are well maintained and in optimal working condition.
Requirements
- Matric
- Technical qualification in Refrigeration/Electrical/Mechanical or HVAC
- 1-3 years of related experience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experience
- Fluent in English / Afrikaans and a third language (Portuguese) is an advantage
- Valid Driver’s License
- Sober habits
- Honesty
Responsibilities
- Plans, develops, and implements effective facilities and operations management policies and procedures
- Assists Senior Management in developing short- and long-term goals and plans
- Executes established operational goals and ensures corporate wide plans are supported
- Coordinates and manages third party service providers and vendors
- Responds to emergency call outs
- Conducts periodic inspections of facilities and implements improvements
- Directs preventive maintenance procedures
- Develops and implements safety directives
