Overview
The Marketing Expense Accountant will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling marketing expenditure to ensure accurate financial reporting, budget compliance, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards. The role provides financial support to the Marketing department by overseeing the accounting, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of marketing expenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis, or expense management; experience in marketing finance is preferred.
- Good understanding of budgeting, expense control, and financial processes.
- Experience with SAP (FI/CO) or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Fluent in English; experience in a multinational company is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process all marketing-related expenses.
- Assist in preparing annual and monthly marketing budgets.
- Review marketing contracts, quotations, purchase requisitions, and payment applications.
- Track and manage costs for marketing campaigns, events, and branding activities.
- Prepare monthly marketing expense reports and management analysis.
- Ensure all marketing expenditures comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
