Requirements
- Grade 12/Standard 10 English
- N3 Relevant Trade Subjects
- Trade: Instrumentation Mechanician MQA/Q
- Computer Literacy with Applicable Software
- Certificate: Basic Management Program
- N4 Technical or Instrumentation Mechanician/ Instrumentation (Recommended/Desirable)
- Minimum of 3 years applicable technical and maintenance experience in a heavy industry/production/mining environment
- Psychometric Assessment
- Certificate of Fitness
- Valid Public Driver's License: Code B
- Competence in Core MQA Modules Assessments
- Competence in MS Office Relevant Package
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure the optimal operation of all equipment and systems in line with established safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Diagnose faults using advanced technology and apply corrective measures to restore equipment performance efficiently.
- Facilitate on-the-job training and mentoring for artisans, promoting knowledge transfer and enhancing skill levels within the team.
- Collaborate with foremen to coordinate maintenance efforts and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance costs effectively by optimizing resources and adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and internal procedural standards, actively contributing to safety programs and protocols.
- Provide specialized technical support, including problem-solving, equipment calibration, and the interpretation of technical manuals and documentation.
- Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure they meet safety standards and statutory requirements, reporting any deficiencies promptly.
