MRP Controller
Overview
Exxaro Resources is looking for a dedicated MRP Controller to join our Central Inventory & Warehousing team at Matla Coal in Kriel, Mpumalanga. You will play a vital role in optimizing inventory levels, managing stock availability, identifying items for disposal, and implementing effective MRP auditing processes.
Requirements
- N Dip: Production & Inventory Management (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate: Basic Management Program (Essential/Minimum)
- Relevant Trade: Artisan with MQA/QCTO Accreditation (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)
- Recommended B Tech or B Degree in a relevant field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, or related operations
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
- Strong understanding of inventory control, MRP parameters, and stock optimisation
- Experience with compliance, governance, and safety standards in the workplace
- Ability to develop and maintain strong customer and client relationships
- Proven track record in effective people management and performance management
Responsibilities
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability for procurement requirements while identifying surplus items for timely disposal.
- Develop and implement rigorous Material Requirements Planning (MRP) audit procedures to guarantee compliance with corporate governance and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to proactively anticipate and respond to demand fluctuations.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements in all inventory management activities.
- Promote a safe and collaborative work environment by enforcing health and safety protocols and addressing hazardous practices promptly.
- Streamline and standardize inventory management processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary complexity.
- Conduct quality assurance on inventory items to ensure compliance with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and codification standards.
- Manage all MRP master data accurately and implement inventory strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders to foster a disciplined and effective inventory management culture.
- Champion continuous learning, innovation, and inclusivity within the team to adapt swiftly to evolving business needs and enhance collaboration.
