Overview

The New Business Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and progressing new franchise and corporate store opportunities that support the expansion of our retail footprint. The role manages an active pipeline of prospective franchisees and site opportunities, conducts initial commercial and market assessments, builds relationships with property stakeholders, and supports negotiations through to approved agreements and handover for store development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Property, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in business development, franchise sales, commercial property, retail expansion, or a related commercial role.
  • Demonstrated experience in prospecting, pipeline management, relationship development, and progressing commercial opportunities.
  • Experience in QSR, retail, franchise, or property industries preferred.
  • Exposure to franchise agreements, site evaluation, commercial negotiations, and franchisee onboarding advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Source, build, and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective franchise and corporate store opportunities within assigned markets or territories.
  • Prospect, screen, and qualify franchisee leads against the Group’s investment, operational, and brand criteria.
  • Progress qualified opportunities through the lead-to-approval and contracting process, coordinating required information and stakeholder inputs.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records and follow up consistently to drive conversion.
  • Conduct market, competitor, demographic, and trading-area research to identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Assess prospective sites against agreed location, accessibility, visibility, catchment, and commercial criteria.
  • Prepare initial site and opportunity assessments for review by the Senior New Business Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property developers, commercial agents, landlords, brokers, and prospective franchisees.
  • Coordinate site visits, franchise prospect meetings, presentations, and follow-up engagements.
  • Track and report on pipeline activity, opportunity status, conversion progress, and assigned growth targets.
  • Ensure new business documentation, supporting information, and approvals are complete and aligned to internal governance requirements.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, commercial proposals, franchise documentation, and management updates.
