Requirements

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply chain management or Warehouse and distribution or similar
  • Management experience in a similar role in a warehouse or distribution centre environment (preferably from the QSR or FMCG industry)
  • Solid understanding of cold chain
  • Experienced dealing with TES labor – planning of resources for spikes in volumes
  • Management of staff
  • Microsoft skills - excel / word
  • Sage experience will be beneficial
  • Attention to detail
  • Conflict management
  • English and Zulu conversant
  • No criminal record

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all night shift warehouse, poultry picking, marinade blending, lug wash, vehicle pre-cooling, and loading/dispatch operations at the Distribution Centre (DC)
  • Ensure all 03:00 routes are dispatched on schedule while maintaining operational, food safety, hygiene, cold chain, people, and SOP compliance
  • On-time dispatch of all 03:00 routes
  • Cold chain and vehicle pre-cooling compliance
  • Picking and poultry picking accuracy
  • Marinade blending SOP and hygiene compliance
  • Lug wash bay hygiene and checklist compliance
  • SOP adherence across all nightshift departments
  • Staff discipline, uniform, and attendance management
  • Ensure all SOP-required reports are emailed to all HODs, the DC Manager, National Logistics Manager, and DC General Manager in copy
  • End-of-shift site security and housekeeping compliance
