Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reputable Pharmacist for their new store in Ficksburg, Free State. The successful candidate will provide pharmaceutical care, addressing patients’ medicine-related needs and ensuring they are met responsibly and effectively.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- BPharm / equivalent qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceuticals
- 2-3 years retail pharmacy experience (Student/Intern)
- Computer literate – MS Office
Responsibilities
- Evaluate a patient’s medicine-related needs and ensure therapy effectiveness and safety.
- Dispense medicines on prescription by authorised individuals.
- Sign off and check prescriptions prepared by assistants or interns.
- Provide information and advice regarding medicine usage.
- Determine patient compliance with therapy and follow up on their needs.
- Offer pharmacist-initiated therapy.
- Compounding, manipulating, preparing, or packaging medicines.
- Supervision of pharmaceutical processes and manufacturing.
- Manage the registration of medicines in accordance with regulatory acts.
- Conduct pharmaceutical research and development.
- Promote public health initiatives.
