Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- BPharm / equivalent qualification
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical
- 2-3 years retail pharmacy experience (Student/Intern)
- Computer literate – MS Office
Responsibilities
- Evaluate a patient’s medicine-related needs
- Dispense any medicine or scheduled substance as per prescription
- Sign off and check all prescriptions prepared by assistants or interns
- Furnish information and advice regarding medicine use
- Determine patient compliance with therapy and ensure needs are met
- Provide pharmacist-initiated therapy
- Compound, manipulate, prepare or package any medicine or scheduled substance
- Supervise the manufacturing of any medicine or scheduled substance
- Manage the purchasing, storing, and selling of medicines
- Apply for the registration of medicines as per legal requirements
- Interpret scripts accurately
