PROJECT ACCOUNTANT - N Band X2
Overview
To deliver a Business Partnering role through consulting services, investment appraisals, monitoring, analysis and reporting on capital expenditure.
Requirements
- Formal accounting and finance qualifications i.e. BCom (Hons) or equivalent qualification (NQF 8)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting and project finance environment
- At least 2 years of experience in investment decision-making
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
- Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of capital projects
- Act as a strategic business partner to technical and operational teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to calculate Authorised Votes (AV) for capital projects
- Perform comprehensive financial due diligence assessments on bids
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions
- Ensure compliance of capital expenditure with statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Facilitate internal and external audit engagements
- Represent the Finance Business Unit in capital project-related committees
- Identify, analyse and report on financial and business risks
