Overview
Rand Water is currently looking for the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to provide strategic leadership for the successful delivery of complex Finance programmes aligned to Rand Water’s strategic objectives. The role involves defining programme goals, execution plans, governance requirements, resources, and performance measures to ensure disciplined delivery and measurable impact. It also includes developing and embedding robust Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks to analyze programme performance data and improve outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Programme Management or equivalent qualification.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Programme Management or related discipline will be advantageous.
- 8–10 years’ senior management experience, with substantial exposure to Finance strategy, operations and governance.
- Proven experience leading complex programmes from planning through execution, monitoring, evaluation and benefit realisation.
- Experience developing M&E frameworks, analysing performance data and translating findings into actionable improvement plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in defining Finance programme outcomes, programme logic, theory of change, MER priorities, performance indicators and impact measures.
- Embed MER as a management capability by translating programme data, trends and learning into strategic insights.
- Lead governance and assurance across complex Finance programmes to ensure delivery against approved scope, requirements, timelines, budgets, risks and intended benefits.
- Strengthen data-driven decision-making through fit-for-purpose monitoring systems, performance analysis, impact assessment and executive-level reporting.
- Build strategic relationships with Finance leadership, business units, partners and delivery teams.
