The purpose of a Sales Representative is to drive sales growth by promoting and selling the company's products and services, building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Relevant tertiary education
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience in preferably the packaging industry
- Minimum code 8/EB driver’s license to travel within region
- Own Vehicle
Responsibilities
- Meeting sales targets according to monthly sales budget
- Generating new sales leads
- Analysing pricing regularly for price increases
- Attending to new enquiries and quoting customers for branded and generic stock
- Analysing and creating inventory report/forecasts for imports and local purchase orders
- Watching competitors and reporting on their offerings
- Ensuring optimal client service by regularly calling on clients
- Providing market information to central office
- Attending sales conferences for strategic discussions and planning
- Making appointments to meet new and existing customers
- Creating presentations for promotions and special deals
- Agreeing on sales, prices, contracts, and payment
- Advising customers about delivery schedules and after sales service
- Recording orders and sending details to the sales office
- Attending conferences and seminars to keep up with industry trends
