Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, HVAC or ventilation environment.
- National Diploma, Diploma or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Draughting would be advantageous.
- Proven Solid Works experience.
- Driver's license / own transport.
- Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, ducting or fan-related products would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for HVAC, ventilation and air movement systems.
- Produce manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Develop drawings for fans, ducting, air-handling systems and associated mechanical components.
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications and technical requirements.
- Make design modifications and drawing revisions as required.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and project specifications.
- Work closely with Engineers, Manufacturing and other departments to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, tolerances and manufacturability.
- Provide technical support to production and fabrication teams where required.
- Assist with resolving design and manufacturing queries.
- Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.
