The Senior Network and Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the network and security infrastructure within a security-critical enterprise environment. The role demands expertise in network operations, firewall management, Azure connectivity, and incident response, along with strong hands-on experience with FortiGate and Extreme Networks technologies.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on FortiGate experience
- Proven Extreme Networks switching knowledge
- Practical Azure networking exposure
- Ability to keep a regulated financial services environment stable and secure
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, support, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and datacentre network infrastructure
- Support enterprise switching with a strong focus on Extreme Networks platforms
- Configure and maintain VLANs, trunks, STP, redundancy, and link aggregation
- Handle advanced routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, static routing)
- Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues
- Act as an escalation point for complex network incidents
- Configure and maintain FortiGate firewalls
- Own firewall policy and rule management
- Monitor firewall health and security events
