Site Agent - Construction Industry
Overview
RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Agent to oversee a construction project in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage all day-to-day site operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards while liaising with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Building or Civil Engineering or a Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Site Agent with a reputable construction contractor
- Proven experience managing building and/or civil construction projects from inception to completion
- Proficient in MS Project
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and subcontractor management abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day site operations
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and material resources
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Monitor construction progress against the project programme and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
- Attend and chair site meetings
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality and environmental standards
- Prepare site reports and maintain accurate project documentation
