Technician (iOCO0126)
Overview
Software and Hardware implementation and support to Customers sites that include Electronic Security and Safety Systems, Building Managing Systems, as well as Workforce Management Solutions. Responsible for compliance on Project and SLA commitments as per contractual agreements.
Requirements
- Gr 12 or equivalent
- College diploma or Relevant Experience and Courses
- DIP Electronic/Electrical Engineering (LC)
- PSIRA Certification – C
- SAQCC Registration: Fire Detection Commissioner/Serviceman and Gas Suppression Commissioner/Serviceman
Responsibilities
- Ensure all required equipment, tools, PPE, documentation and incidentals are available for on-site work
- Assist Project Manager / Service Manager on relevant tasks
- Adhere to timelines and standards for project implementation
- Allocate stock used on customer contracts and complete/update hand-over documentation
- Ensure all relevant stock and consumables are booked to projects/calls
- Support on all hardware/software installed on all sites
- Ensure project documentation is completed
- Installations: Execute and coordinate all work on-site
- Ensure commissioning and testing of all hardware and software
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all relevant equipment/systems
- Ensure adherence to OEM recommendations and South African National Standards
- Provide accurate documentation of services rendered
- Ensure quality inspection and housekeeping during/after installation/maintenance
- Communicate project status to Project Manager
- Complete timesheets/documentation/reporting daily
- Attend training regularly
- Assist colleagues as needed
