The Administration Clerk will provide essential support to staff and supervisors in managing patient administration within the ward, including responsibilities related to admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients. The role requires strong computer skills, interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to confidentiality. Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent)
- Appropriate patient administration experience in a health environment
- Experience in Clinicom
- Willingness to work overtime
Responsibilities
- Provide support/relief to staff and supervisors as operationally required regarding waiting list and patient administration
- Perform Patient administrative functions within the Ward including admissions, transfers, discharge of patients, transport bookings, and patient queries
- Conduct daily ward rounds ensuring all patient movements are captured on Clinicom
- Provide general administrative support to the Ward and Hospital including folder administration and ad hoc ward duties
- Manage resources within the ward, including replenishment of stock and managing stock
- Perform data collection and compilation of duties for the ward monthly
