Overview
The Administration Clerk will provide an effective and efficient patient administration service at the reception point according to the Department of Health policy. This includes ensuring accurate patient assessment for means testing and billing, managing registrations of new patients, and handling cash management and enquiries. Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent)
- Appropriate experience in patient administration in a hospital environment
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, night duty, weekends, and public holidays
- Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)
- Appropriate Clinicom experience
Responsibilities
- Render an effective and efficient Patient Administration service at the Reception Point
- Ensure accurate assessment of patients to the means test and billing of patient accounts
- Register new patients with complete relevant transactions using the Clinicom system
- Responsible for sound cash management and record keeping of state monies
- Handle telephonic and personal enquiries regarding patients
- Cooperate and support supervisors, colleagues, and management team
- Filing and drawing of folders and performing any ad-hoc duties
