Overview

Provide Animal Health services. Provide training and awareness programs (veterinary extension services) to communities with regard to Animal Health.

Requirements

  • NQF level 8 BVMch/BVSc as recognised by the South African Veterinary Council
  • Compulsory registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
  • A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience
  • A valid (Code EB or higher) driving license
  • Competencies: Computer literacy
  • Financial Management
  • Statistical
  • Research
  • Analytical
  • Communication
  • Interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Provide Animal Health services
  • Provide training and awareness programs (veterinary extension services) to communities with regard to Animal Health
  • Render a Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostic and Epidemiology Service
  • Render a Veterinary Public Health servi ce
  • Render an animal disease surveillance service
  • Provide training and awareness programs (extension services) to communities with regards to VPH
  • Implement contingency plans and conduct risk assessments for the mitigation of outbreak of diseases
  • Perform all administrative and related functions
