Overview
The CASP Graduate program seeks to properly place unemployed graduates with agriculture-related qualifications in farms or enterprises linked to the agricultural value chain. This initiative aims to reduce youth unemployment in the Western Cape by providing participants with practical hands-on experience and connections to development-supporting entities.
Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year B-degree or higher qualification in Agriculture for some locations.
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or higher qualification in Agriculture for other specified locations.
- Desire for practical work experience.
- South African citizen residing in the Western Cape.
- Unemployed graduate aged between 18-45 years.
- Persons with a disability are encouraged to apply.
- Suitable qualifications in line with agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-job training in the Department of Agriculture.
- Link participants with entities that support entrepreneurial development.
