Frogfoot is looking for a Junior Provisioning Engineer Intern to join our Provisioning team and gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of fibre network provisioning. This is an opportunity for someone who is technically curious, analytical, eager to learn, and enjoys solving problems.
Requirements
- Be a South African Citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Have completed Grade 12 / Matric
- Have a relevant 3-year Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related technical field; OR Have a relevant Higher Certificate or Occupational Qualification at NQF Level 5
- Be currently unemployed
- Not be enrolled in any MICT SETA or other SETA-funded programme
- Have a genuine interest in networking, fibre and telecommunications
- Be comfortable working with computers and technical systems
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be analytical, methodical and detail-oriented
- Be willing to learn new concepts and technologies
- Be comfortable working as part of a team
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
Responsibilities
- Assist with provisioning new circuits as ordered by customers
- Support the configuration of managed Frogfoot equipment
- Gain exposure to FTTH and FTTB provisioning
- Assist with updating network management systems
- Support IP address management and record keeping
- Learn how provisioning orders are processed and tracked
- Assist with resolving provisioning-related support queries
- Investigate technical issues under guidance from experienced team members
- Monitor assigned activities and provide updates where required
- Assist with customer calls as part of the wider project team
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers
- Participate in projects and team initiatives
