Overview
The Department of Infrastructure at the Western Cape Government is seeking a qualified Architectural Technologist (Production) to assist in designing and executing the architect’s conceptual designs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting architects and associates throughout various stages of project development, from site surveying to preparing working drawings and supervising construction efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology in Architecture (B.Tech) or relevant qualification
- Three years post qualification Senior Architectural Technologist experience
- Compulsory registration with SACAP as a Senior Architectural Technologist
- A valid driving licence
Responsibilities
- Provide technological advisory services to support architects and associates
- Prepare measured drawings of existing buildings and presentation drawings/models
- Supervise building to ensure compliance with working drawings and legal documents
- Evaluate existing technical manuals and incorporate new technology
- Solve broadly defined technological challenges
- Develop, maintain, and manage current technologies
- Compile and submit monthly and quarterly reports
- Provide inputs to the operational plan and maintain databases
- Research and keep up with new technologies
