ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Overview
The Assistant Human Resources Officer will provide efficient and accurate administrative and generalist support across various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, records management, employee relations, payroll input, and HR reporting. The role requires ensuring compliance with company policies and Zimbabwean labour legislation.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' HR generalist or HR administration experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and HRIS/payroll systems (e.g. Belina, Sage, SAP HR)
Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment cycle including advertising, shortlisting, interview logistics, reference checks, and offer administration
- Coordinate new employee onboarding, induction, contracting, engagement documentation, and exit/offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, personnel files, and the HR information system (HRIS)
- Compile and submit accurate payroll inputs, including engagements, terminations, leave, overtime, allowances, and acting appointments
- Administer leave, attendance, timekeeping, medical aid, pension, funeral cover, and other employee benefit schemes
- Support the coordination of performance management, probation reviews, and training administration
- Ensure compliance with the Labour Act, NEC Mining Industry regulations, and Company HR policies and procedures
