Overview
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable individual to strategically support the executive in the development and implementation of high-level provincial policies and strategies.
Requirements
- A Qualification at NQF Level 7 as recognised by SAQA
- A minimum of 5 years relevant senior management level experience
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic management, advice and guidance in respect of functional areas
- Facilitate high-level policy analysis and innovative policy development
- Research and analyze the provincial policy environment
- Analyze national and provincial policies and prepare provincial responses
- Facilitate the development of transversal provincial policies
- Ensure alignment of legislation, policies and strategies with the Provincial Strategic Plan
- Facilitate periodic review of the Provincial Strategic Plan
- Initiate and manage transversal futures modelling research
- Support the provincial executive in human social development strategy
- Facilitate collation of the Provincial Strategic Plan for the Human Development Social Sector
- Advise on macro prioritisation of the provincial budget
- Facilitate initiation of new integrated government programmes
- Continuously assess progress with implementation of HD Sector programmes
- Support the provincial executive in economic strategy
- Facilitate collation of the Provincial Strategic Plan for the Economic Sector
- Advise on alignment of Economic Sector plans with provincial priorities
- Manage integrated provincial strategic planning
