Deputy Director: Forensic Investigations (12 months contract position- Various posts available) , Ref No. DOTP 102/2026
Overview
The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage and conduct forensic investigations into allegations and/or irregularities relating to fraud, theft and corruption; to provide technical direction, quality assurance and reporting on investigations; and to account for the operational, people and financial management of the allocated forensic investigation capacity.
Requirements
- A 3-year B-Degree (or higher qualification) or equivalent in Commerce / Law / Auditing / Forensics / BCom IT or Informatics, or another relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant middle-management experience, or 6 years operational experience in a forensic investigation, governance or related environment; with practical experience in conducting, and reporting on forensic investigations.
Responsibilities
- Manage forensic investigation intake, assessment, planning and prevention support.
- Manage and quality assure the execution of forensic investigations and lifestyle investigations/audits.
- Manage investigation reporting, recommendations and case finalisation.
- Plan and manage the work of and account for the overall performance of the allocated departments.
- People Management.
