Executive Assistant
Overview
Lesaka is a leading fintech business providing financial services and technology solutions to consumers and businesses across Southern Africa. We are looking for an Executive Assistant to the CEO & COO to provide high-level executive support to two members of our senior leadership team. This is a high-trust role requiring exceptional organisation, discretion, judgement and attention to detail.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Business Administration, Office Management, Business Management or a related field
- 8–10 years' experience in an Executive Assistant or similar senior executive support role
- Proven experience supporting C-suite executives, preferably within a large, complex or fast-paced corporate environment
- Experience coordinating Board, Executive Committee or senior leadership meetings
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information at executive level
- Strong experience in diary management, complex travel coordination, meeting preparation and executive correspondence
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen, judgement and ability to prioritise effectively
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and follow-through
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive executive support to the CEO and COO, including diary management, correspondence, travel coordination and meeting preparation
- Proactively manage priorities, deadlines, follow-ups and outstanding actions on behalf of both executives
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and upcoming requirements and address these proactively
- Prepare agendas, briefing notes, presentations, reports and other materials for executive engagements
- Ensure the CEO and COO are appropriately prepared for key meetings and engagements
- Act as a key point of contact between the CEO, COO, Executive Committee, senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Coordinate executive meetings, leadership sessions, strategic planning sessions and other key engagements
- Coordinate Board and committee meetings, including documentation, logistics, minutes and action tracking
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure agreed actions and deliverables are completed within required timeframes
- Handle confidential and sensitive commercial, financial, employee and executive information with discretion
- Support governance processes by maintaining accurate records and coordinating required documentation
- Manage sensitive correspondence and information with sound judgement and professionalism
- Coordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries, accommodation and changes to travel plans
- Manage expense submissions and reconciliations in line with company policies
- Support executive events, offsites, leadership sessions and other corporate engagements
- Support the CEO and COO with special projects and strategic initiatives, including research, information gathering and preparation of executive summaries
- Coordinate cross-functional activities and follow up on key deliverables as directed by the executives
- Assist with presentations and materials for strategic and operational discussions
