HC Business Partner
Overview
The Human Capital Business Partner collaborates with managers and employees to implement effective people management practices aligned with business objectives. Focusing on workforce planning, talent management, and employee relations, the role ensures compliance with labor laws and supports employee engagement and HC governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, Law, or a related field
- 5–8 years' experience as a HC Business Partner in a manufacturing and unionised environment
- Demonstrated experience in labour law and employee relations
- Sound knowledge of the LRA, BCEA, EEA, disciplinary processes, grievance management, and union engagement
- Leading an HC team would be advantageous
- Experience in workforce planning and budgeting processes would be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Support workforce planning and recruitment activities
- Drive performance management and talent development processes
- Manage succession planning and retention initiatives
- Drive end-to-end management of employee relations matters, including discipline, grievances, incapacity, and CCMA representation
- Promote employee engagement and recognition initiatives
- Maintain HC records, organograms, and job profiles
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and audit requirements
- Manage all HC administrative and payroll activities, ensuring accurate employee records and timely payroll submissions
- Prepare and provide HC reports and workforce data
