Overview
The Manager of Ground & Cargo Operations is responsible for ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory requirements, overseeing the implementation of safety management systems, and managing operational risks. Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SACAA, IOSA and AOC requirements related to ground handling and cargo operations.
- Serve as the Dangerous Goods governance owner.
- Implement and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Oversee audits, regulatory inspections, and corrective action plans.
- Maintain regulatory documentation and manuals.
- Ensure accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, and dangerous goods.
- Monitor and improve operational performance including OTP and turnaround times.
- Manage load control compliance and aircraft configuration accuracy.
- Drive continuous operational improvement through data analysis.
- Lead end-to-end cargo operations ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
- Manage cargo irregularities and performance reporting.
- Conduct performance reviews with service providers and manage contractual requirements.
- Oversee training compliance for staff and service providers.
- Maintain operational documentation and implement training interventions.
