Overview
The Section Manager is responsible for developing a business plan for the consumptive utilisation of wildlife on the Miershoop Pan Farm, implementing this business plan, and leading sustainable wildlife-management operations that support the Khomani San community and establish a viable wildlife economy at Miershoop Pan within the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight to the Project Manager by coordinating daily farm and field activities
- Manage the reintroduction of indigenous wildlife to maintain ecological balance and long-term conservation viability
- Supervise regulated harvesting and hunting logistics
- Ensure effective wildlife monitoring systems
- Support contractors
- Uphold ESMS/ESMP and OHS compliance requirements
- Deliver accurate operational reporting
- Drive the implementation of community wildlife-economy objectives
