Senior Foreman (Structures) - Construction Industry
Overview
RPO Recruitment’s client, an established building contractor in Cape Town, is looking for experienced Senior Foremen – Structures to oversee structural construction activities on large-scale building projects.
Requirements
- Relevant trade test qualification
- At least 15 years’ experience in building construction
- Strong background in concrete works, structural construction and wet trades
- Experience with Tier 1 construction contractors
- Proven exposure to multi-storey buildings, warehouses and large-scale developments
- Previous experience supervising teams of foremen and coordinating substantial site operations
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate structural works, including concrete and associated wet trades
- Manage and allocate site labour, equipment and materials
- Oversee teams of foremen and ensure construction activities are properly coordinated
- Monitor productivity, workmanship and adherence to construction programmes
- Ensure structural work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Site Agents and other project personnel
- Enforce health and safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping standards
- Identify and resolve site-related challenges to keep construction activities on schedule
