The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring profitability through effective planning, budgeting, procurement, and stock control. The role requires maintaining stock variances, managing financial aspects, and providing excellent customer service while promoting compliance with legislative and corporate governance. Additionally, the Store Manager will lead people management initiatives and uphold the company values and culture.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Preferably a commerce bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Preferably Financial or Management diploma
- 5-10 years retail experience
- Minimum of 3 years' in a junior-mid level management position
- Previous industry related experience
- Financial acumen
- Inwards and Outwards Logistics/Procurement skills
- Merchandising principles
- Preferably have knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
